A nationally known Celtic punk band will headline a local beer festival.
Dropkick Murphys will play during the third annual Great Twin Ports Taste-Together brewfest and wine tasting on Feb. 23 at Black Bear Casino in Carlton. Tickets are $35 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at twinportsbrewfest.com and at Cash Wise Liquor, Carmody Irish Brew Pub and Dubh Linn Irish Brew Pub.
The event includes 150 beers and wines — both regional and national — and runs from 4-8 p.m. The concert follows.
The Boston-based Dropkick Murphys are influenced by punk rock, Irish folk, rock and hardcore. The band’s latest album, “Signed and Sealed in Blood,” will be released in January.
Trampled By Turtles have played the brewfest the past two years.
