Cloquet hospital offers tours of new inpatient wing

Although it’s not quite finished, Community Memorial Hospital is inviting the public for a visit as it celebrates the new inpatient wing of the Cloquet hospital.

Although it’s not quite finished, Community Memorial Hospital is inviting the public for a visit as it celebrates the new inpatient wing of the Cloquet hospital.

Tours will be offered from 3:30-5:30 p.m. today at the hospital, which is at 512 Skyline Blvd. A hospital news release said the $27 million project, which will increase the facility’s size by more than 50 percent, is 90 percent complete.

The new wing includes private patient rooms with Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs; birthing suites with whirlpool tubs, microwave and refrigerator, Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and special lighting systems; a chapel, a gift shop and a cafeteria among other amenities, the news release said.

Refreshments will follow the tours.
