Highway 210 improvement project to close road Oct. 17

A portion of Highway 210 will close between Interstate 35 and Cromwell in both directions beginning Monday, Oct. 17, when a road improvement project begins.

A portion of Highway 210 will close between Interstate 35 and Cromwell in both directions beginning Monday, Oct. 17, when a road improvement project begins.

Local traffic will have access to their homes and businesses, including access to Black Bear Casino.

Motorists will be detoured onto County Road 4 and Highway 73. The detours will be in place until Oct. 23 while crews replace a box culvert in the Kettle River.

Work on the resurfacing portion of the project will begin in May 2012 and be completed in August. Forty-two miles of Highway 210 between I-35 and Highway 65 will be resurfaced.
