UMD men No. 13, women unranked

COLLEGE HOCKEY: The Minnesota Duluth men remained No. 13 in the U.S. College Hockey Division I poll released Monday following a season-opening weekend split of games at home against Ohio State. The Bulldogs (1-1) play at No. 9 Notre Dame (2-0) on Thursday and Friday in South Bend, Ind.

The Minnesota Duluth men remained No. 13 in the U.S. College Hockey Division I poll released Monday following a season-opening weekend split of games at home against Ohio State. The Bulldogs (1-1) play at No. 9 Notre Dame (2-0) on Thursday and Friday in South Bend, Ind.

Minnesota (2-0) took over the No. 1 spot in the poll after a home sweep of Michigan State, while previous No. 1 Boston College (0-1) with an opening 3-1 loss at Northeastern. Also ranked are No. 7 Denver (0-0) and No. 19 Colorado College (2-0) from the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.

  • The UMD women (2-2) stayed unranked despite a home sweep of Wisconsin. The Badgers fell from No. 4 to No. 9 after losing 2-0 and 1-0 at Amsoil Arena.
