Esko-Carlton girls blank Cloquet

Elle Emanuel and Brooke Schramm scored second-half goals to give Esko-Carlton a 2-0 victory over Cloquet in a nonconference high school girls soccer game Thursday at Esko, snapping the Lumberjacks’ 10-game unbeaten streak.

The Eskomos improved to 10-5 in winning for the sixth time in the last seven games. Cloquet (8-4-3), which was 7-0-3 in its previous 10 games, had its 365-minute scoreless streak ended when Emanuel scored in the 53rd minute.
