PRESS RELEASE - Cloquet Police seize $10,000 worth of methamphetamine during drug investivation
During the month of August 2011, the Cloquet Police Department began a multi-county methamphetamine drug investigation. Cloquet Detectives had information that large quantities of the drug were being transported to the Carlton County area from Pine County. During the investigation Cloquet Police Detectives were able to purchase methamphetamine on numerous occasions from a Carlton County resident.By: Terry Hill, Deputy Chief Cloquet Police Department, Pine Journal
During the month of August 2011, the Cloquet Police Department began a multi-county methamphetamine drug investigation. Cloquet Detectives had information that large quantities of the drug were being transported to the Carlton County area from Pine County. During the investigation Cloquet Police Detectives were able to purchase methamphetamine on numerous occasions from a Carlton County resident. Through the investigation officers were also able to identify the Pine County resident the drugs were being purchased from. The approximate value of the methamphetamine seized during the investigation was $10,000. The Cloquet Police Department was assisted throughout the investigation by the Carlton County Sheriff’s Department, Minnesota State Patrol, Moose Lake Police Department and Pine County Sheriff’s Department. Charged were the following individuals.
Dale Lavern Casler Jr. DOB 12/14/1964 of Cloquet was charged with Felony Controlled Substance Crime in the 1st Degree.
Randal1 Eugene Cook, DOB 05/18/1977 of Pine County was charged with 1st degree sale of methamphetamine and 2nd degree possession of methamphetamine. Both are Felonies. Cook’s charges are being handled through Pine County Court.
Jeffery Eric Bistodeau, DOB 10/16/1960 of Pine County was charged with 5th Degree Possession of methamphetamine. (Felony) Charges are being handled through Pine County Court.
