Larry Lyman Bushnell

Larry Lyman Bushnell, 77, of Cloquet, Minn., died Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at the Safe Harbor unit of the Benedictine Health Center in Duluth, Minn. He was born July 24, 1933, to Gordon and Clara (Lyman) Bushnell and grew up on his parents' farm north of Wright, Minn. He was a graduate of McGregor High School and the University of Minnesota Duluth, and was a former member of the Minnesota National Guard. Larry was an avid bike rider and in the 1990s he rode his bike from Cloquet to both the Atlantic and Pacific coasts.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Jeanne.

Larry is survived by his brother, Dennis (Lyla) Bushnell of Fridley, Minn.; former wife, Alice Bushnell of Hopkins, Minn.; children, Dr. Gwynn (John Lyngdahl) Daniels of Beaverton, Ore., Cheryl (Steve) Davis of Mahtowa, Minn., Kevin (Linda) Bushnell of Cloquet, Brent (Debbie) Bushnell of Edina, Minn., and Andrea (Paul) Burris of St. Cloud, Minn.; grandchildren, Jillian, Ryan, Adam, Elliot, Emily, Lindsey, Kendal, Laina, Madison, Hannah and Edward; great-grandchildren, Haley, Olivia, Lexus and twin great-grandbabies due in October; and several nieces and nephews.

Larry's family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to all of the dedicated caregiving professionals at Safe Harbor for everything they did for him.

A memorial service will be held by the family this summer.

The family was assisted by The Cremation Society of Minnesota.
