Sarah Yrjanson said her Barnum softball team has a lot to work on, and improvements need to be made after this week’s back-to-back games – a 5-2 loss at Carlton Monday and an 8-2 win over Braham Tuesday at home.
“We’ve had too many errors lately,” Yrjanson said. “We’re going to have to get those out of our system before we head into the
playoffs.”
Barnum (10-4) closed its regular season against Braham Tuesday, as Lauren Hultgren threw a complete game, two-hitter, while Kerra Rowell, Allainie Hanek-Siltanen and Paige Rilea led
offensively.
“We only had five hits,” recalled Yrjanson. “We have a lot to work on.”
Monday against the Bulldogs, Hultgren was the losing pitcher, giving up seven hits and striking out two at Chub Lake Park. Rowell led Barnum with three hits.
