Law enforcement officers from around Carlton County responded to a report of a man with a gun at a residence early Wednesday morning.

According to Carlton County Sheriff’s Department Investigator Dan Danielson, an initial call came into dispatch at 1:44 a.m., reporting a man with a gun at a residence on the 2300 block of County Road 3. A short time later, members of the Consolidated Emergency Response Team were paged and responded to the scene, where a 21-year-old man was threatening to harm himself. They were at the residence for about two hours.

“Ultimately, there was a peaceful resolution,” Danielson said, adding that the man was taken to an area hospital for evaluation. No one was injured in the incident.

Danielson did not know whether any charges would be filed, nor did he know if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the incident.
