The Living Lord’s Passover is a play that depicts how each of Jesus’ disciples may have reacted to his statement that one of them would betray him.
“It is a great way to appreciate the real significance of Passover and focus on the important events during the last week of Christ’s ministry on earth,” said co-director Addie Clyde of Carlton. “Throughout the play, each of the disciples delivers a moving monologue telling of his experience with Jesus.”
Clyde added that The Living Lord’s Passover is taking on a whole new look this year. There is special music throughout, as well as segments of Davidic and interpretive dancing featuring dancers and actors age 2 to 66. It is a two-hour production presented with complete staging, lighting, music and dance.
The presentation is under the direction of Clyde and her husband, Rex, of Chariot Productions.
“Now in its 24th year,” said Addie, “this drama has been presented at various locations in the area and continues to be met with enthusiasm, blessing both the audience and cast each time it is presented. Though the cast and script may have changed, the message and heart of the cast has remained the same.”
The public is invited to attend this year’s performance, and no tickets are necessary, though a free-will offering will be taken at the performance.
