Compare / contrast St. Louis River levels between February, May

For frequent visitors to Jay Cooke State Park, seeing the rushing St. Louis River at or near flood stage - as it is this weekend - is made even more impressive when compared to how tranquil it can be at other times of the year.

For frequent visitors to Jay Cooke State Park, seeing the rushing St. Louis River at or near flood stage - as it is this weekend - is made even more impressive when compared to how relatively tranquil it can seem at other times of the year.

The accompanying photos and videos give two views of the river - one taken last February, when the river was running low during winter, and the other taken Saturday with the river running high from recent heavy rain.
