Carlton edges Floodwood in high-scoring game

The Bulldogs blew an 8-4 lead but Megan Nelson scored the tying run in the sixth inning and the game-winning run in the bottom of the eighth as Carlton survived the 7A first-round game Tuesday at Chub Lake.

Brooke Camps had four hits and Nelson reached base five times to lead Carlton, which plays top-seeded Littlefork-Big Falls at 3 p.m. today.
