Community college softball: Thunder win lone game

Courtney Kruse and Casey Pierce of McGregor each had three RBIs to lead Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College past Northland Community College 13-8 in the first game of a Minnesota College Athletic Conference scheduled doubleheader at Braun Park in Cloquet.

Courtney Kruse and Casey Pierce of McGregor each had three RBIs to lead Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College past Northland Community College 13-8 in the first game of a Minnesota College Athletic Conference scheduled doubleheader at Braun Park in Cloquet.

The second game was postponed due to poor weather.

Katie Youngberg of Moose Lake was the winning pitcher, giving up four hits in the complete-game victory. She benefitted by the Thunder (4-7, 3-2 MCAC) scoring seven runs in the second inning.
