Annie M. Kriske, 72, of Carlton, Minn., passed away Friday, Jan. 21, 2011, at the Solvay Hospice House in Duluth, Minn., surrounded by her family.

Annie M. Kriske, 72, of Carlton, Minn., passed away Friday, Jan. 21, 2011, at the Solvay Hospice House in Duluth, Minn., surrounded by her family. She was born Aug. 23, 1938, in Detroit, Mich., to Walter and Jennie (Seppala) Lund and graduated from Cloquet High School in 1956. Annie worked at the Medicine Shoppe for many years and was a lifetime member of the Carlton VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed camping, motorcycling, knitting, and making mittens for the VFW Auxiliary.

Annie was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Benny Kulus; infant son, Gene Boedigheimer; step-daughter, Nicole Kriske; and sister, Lorraine Johnson. She is survived by her loving husband, Gerald; one son, Scott (Paula) Boedigheimer of Cloquet; three daughters, Jenny (Gary) Hedin of Cloquet, Annette (Bruce) Bryant of Cloquet, and Lynne (Brian) Hoover of Esko, Minn.; two step-daughters, Beth (Melvin) Ellington of Sioux City, Iowa and Holly (Gary Ward) Kriske of South Sioux City, Neb.; 10 grandchildren, Scott Boedigheimer, Thomas Boedigheimer, Lindsey (Niklaus) Forstbauer, Hillary Hedin, Jennie Bryant, Samantha Gamble, Ian Ellington, Patrick Kriske, Katie Jo Ward, and Matthew Ward; 10 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her children's father, Cecil Boedigheimer.

Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 27, from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. memorial service at Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet, followed with a luncheon in the fellowship room.
