Friends identify couple who lived at Cromwell homicide site

EARLIER: Homicide suspected in deaths of Cromwell couple
The people living inside the Cromwell home where two people were found killed on Sunday were Tom Holm and Kim Schmitz, numerous people told the News Tribune today.
Schmitz’s ex-husband, Raymond, said Kim and Tom Holm have lived in the Cromwell area their entire lives.
Schmitz worked as a meat cutter at B&B Market for the past six to seven years, according to store co-owner John Lind.
“She was a good person. The customers loved her,” Lind said. “We’re all just in shock about this.”
Lind said he was called by numerous friends last night to tell him about the double homicide, with friends saying that Schmitz was one of the victims.
Raymond Schmitz said his ex-wife was “a really good person. She was a good mother.”
He said her interests included hunting and fishing.
“She had a lot of friends (in Cromwell),” he said.
Neither Schmitz nor Lind said they have been told any details about the homicide.
