Dixon, Thunder down Mesabi Range

COMMUNITY COLLEGE BASKETBALL: Alton Dixon had 21 points and 15 rebounds to lead Fond du Lac to a 72-65 Minnesota College Athletic Conference men’s victory over Mesabi Range on Saturday in Cloquet.

Alton Dixon had 21 points and 15 rebounds to lead Fond du Lac to a 72-65 Minnesota College Athletic Conference men’s victory over Mesabi Range on Saturday in Cloquet.

Tyler Campbell added points for the Thunder (3-16 overall, 3-4 MCAC), while Carlos Holcey (13 points) and Bryce Karpinnen (10) were also in double figures.

William Reyes had 14 points to lead Mesabi Range.

  • LaNae Rash had 23 points to lead Mesabi Range to a 105-32 women’s victory over Fond du Lac, while Kasha Gokee had 10 points for Thunder (0-18, 0-7).
