Esko Coaches Classic most valuable player Savanna Trapp scored 23 points and blocked eight shots in Esko’s 44-34 championship game win over Hermantown in a battle of high school girls basketball unbeatens Saturday.
Stephanie Bandelin had nine rebounds in a defensive struggle as fifth-ranked Esko improved to 7-0 and handed the Hawks (7-1) their first loss.
North Woods, a late replacement for Mora, beat Warroad 70-37 for third place.
