Fond du Lac teams fall in basketball

COLLEGE BASKETBALL: The Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College men’s and women’s basketball teams dropped a pair of Minnesota College Athletic Conference games Saturday afternoon in Brainerd.

The Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College men’s and women’s basketball teams dropped a pair of Minnesota College Athletic Conference games Saturday afternoon in Brainerd. Minnesota State defeated the Thunder men 59-45 and the women 92-44.

Carlos Holcey paced the Thunder men (0-9) with 20 points and Bryce Karppinen added 10, while Shane Bosek led the Spartans with 17.

Sarah Sample led the Thunder women (0-9) with 28 points and 12 rebounds, while Mandi Maruca also recorded a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Rhonda Christenson paced the Spartans with 28.
