There will be an open house 50th wedding anniversary for Bob and Gloria Manninen, Saturday, Oct. 16, from1-4 p.m. at the Cromwell Park Pavilion. Everyone is welcome. No gifts please.
The Cromwell-Wright PTA is currently looking for volunteers to help with the Hunter’s Supper on Nov. 5 from 4-8 p.m. If you would like to help out, contact Jeanne Weimer at 218-343-5059 or Doreen Warner at 218-644-1051.
The Arrowhead Area Mini Bus goes to Duluth on Oct. 8 and 22 and to Cloquet on Oct. 7 and 21. Call Edna to sign up at 218-357-2701.
The Wright Community Blood Drive will be held on Oct. 11 from 2:30-6 p.m. in the Black Jack Grill parking lot. Contact Dennis Cieluch at 218-644-3535 or 218-380-2995 for more information.
The Cromwell Area YOT will take an AEOA bus to the Senior Expo in Duluth on Oct. 21. Sign up with Lindsay Lally after Oct. 7.
The AARP Driver’s Safety Program refresher course will be held Friday, Oct. 15 from 8:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cromwell Park Pavilion. Payment will be prior to class and they need 10 participants to hold the class. Call 218-644-3739 after Oct. 7 to register.
The YOT will also sponsor a health care informational meeting at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Cromwell Park Pavilion. Patty Foster, a representative of AARP, will give out information on the new health care reform law and how it affects you. You don’t need to be a member of AARP or YOT to attend.
Dance lessons are again being offered at the school, for both kids and adults. Just call Angie for more information at 303-918-6901.
