Peter Louis Lushenko

Peter Louis Lushenko, 66, of Cloquet, Minn., died Friday, Aug. 20, 2010, in View Crest Nursing Home in Duluth, Minn. He was born April 20, 1944, in Duluth to Peter and Elsie Lushenko. He grew up in Saginaw, Minn., and attended AlBrook School. Peter was a self-employed mechanic and truck driver in the Cloquet area for the past 50 years.

Peter was preceded in death by his brother, William; his step-son, Ricky Hanhela; grandson Ricky Hanhela; and great-grandson Aden Johnson.

He is survived by his son, Lonnie (Maria) Hanhela of Cloquet; step-daughter, Lisa Hanhela of Wrenshall, Minn.; three sisters, Judy (Jack) Warren of St. Paul, Minn., Beverly (Alan) Wetzel of Andover, Minn., and Cindy (Robert) Foucault of Brookston, Minn.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank all of Pete's special friends for all of their loving care.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, Aug. 24, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service in Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St., Cloquet.
