A stolen delivery van owned by B&B Market of Cloquet was recovered by Minneapolis Police in late July. The white panel van had been had been reported stolen the morning of Wednesday, July 14.

According to B&B owner John Lind, the white panel van had been parked outside the market and it was stolen sometime during the overnight hours.

Lind said the van was located in Minneapolis by authorities after a stop was made around 3 a.m. for no license plate lights. A subsequent license plate check showed the van to be stolen. According to Cloquet Police Detective Scott Holman, Minneapolis reported two people were taken into custody, one of them a juvenile.

Holman said possible charges of auto theft are pending in Hennepin County Court.

Lind traveled to the Twin Cities to recover the van Friday, July23, and he reported it was in good driving condition, though there was clothing and food littered throughout the interior. He said most of the business name that was painted on both sides of the van had been spray-painted over with white paint, with the exception of “Market” on one side.

“They must have run out of paint,” quipped Lind.

He added he is currently awaiting a response from the insurance company to find out if they will cover the cost of a new paint job.
