Motorists on northbound Interstate 35 will experience single-lane traffic between Sandstone and Kettle River on weekdays beginning Monday while crews complete a short-term paving project.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation on Wednesday said crews will work round-the-clock Monday through Friday to complete this 10-mile project quickly and limit the effect on traffic. The project is expected to be completed Oct. 6, weather permitting.

The $1 million paving project is in preparation for a long-term resurfacing project at that location in 2012.
