Wright-Cromwell News

I’m writing this news article to you from Honolulu, Hawaii, as I am here visiting my son. It’s hot and humid, but with sunshine every day. I’m sure I can get used to it. We leave today for an eight-day island-to-island cruise.
Another important thing about June 12 is it’s the 50th anniversary of the day the Class of 1963 was confirmed in 1960. There were at least 10-12 of us and several of them have passed away already. I am thankful for the pastors, parents and Sunday school teachers who guided me in my youth and want to remember this day with gratitude.
The Carlton County Retired Educators will meet at the Country Inn in Cromwell on Tuesday, June 29, at 11:30 a.m. for lunch. Then they will go to the school for their meeting and a presentation by Barb Schilling on her travels. All retired teachers, administrators and staff are welcome to join this group. They only meet twice a year and they also work the Little Red School House at the county fair in August.
Ray and Lindsay Lally celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary by going up the North Shore and staying at the Naniboujou Resort.
Well, that’s it for the news. Have a great week and don’t forget to attend Dorothy Groth’s 90th birthday party on June 20 from 1-4 p.m. at St. John’s.
