Carlton cuts full-time fire chief
As of the end of the day Monday, the city of Carlton no longer employs a full-time fire chief/emergency management director.
At the end of the day today, the city of Carlton will no longer employ a full-time fire chief/emergency management director, according to an e-mail sent out by the man who holds that position.
Steve White said in the message that the city decided his position was "no longer affordable," and that cuts to local government aid along with demand on city services are at their limit.
