Winners announced in Tamarack Sno-Flyers Vintage Run
The 21st Annual Tamarack Sno-Flyers Vintage Run was held Saturday, Jan. 31, with 294 vintage sleds (25 years or older) and 42 non-vintage sleds registered, with an estimated 400-500 sleds participating. Jackson’s Hole served over 600 hot dogs and gallons of chicken noodle soup. Trophy winners are as follows:
Most Original – Jeff Peterson of Grand Rapids, Minn., 1970 Arctic Cat Panther.
Best Restored – John Pelto of Lawler, Minn., 1969 TX Colt 800.
Oldest Sled – Jinx Greski of Mora, Minn., 1961 Ski Doo Bombardier.
Most Unique – Arvid Arvidson of Foreston, Minn., 1974 Radar 440.
Oldest Driver – Lester Johnson, 87, of Bemidji, Minn., riding a 1980 Yamaha Enticer.
People’s Choice 1st Place – Butch Holmvig of Aitkin, Minn., 1970 Scorpion Mark II, Harly.
People’s Choice 2nd Place – Ricky Lough of Wright, 1971 Alsport Tracker S-10.
People’s Choice 3rd Place – Ricky Lough of Wright, 1971 Gehl Blazer GT 15.
