Cloquet resident Fred Anderson enjoyed a cup of coffee today at Lemon Tree Liquor and Gas and had an unplanned chat with a Vikings superstar.

At about 9:30 a.m. Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen stopped in for gas and snacks en route to Canada for some wolf hunting, Anderson said.

Allen posed for a few photos and chatted with Anderson and two cashiers before heading out.

"He was very nice - like regular people," Anderson said.

Allen, a Texas native, is a three-time Pro Bowl selection and All-Pro with the Chiefs in 2007 and the Vikings in 2008 & 2009.
