Kyle Jay Sims, 22, son of Gwen and Phill Larson of Sawyer, Minn., passed away Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010.
Kyle Jay Sims, 22, son of Gwen and Phill Larson of Sawyer, Minn., passed away Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010. He was born Sept. 5, 1987, in Deer River, Minn., and graduated from Carlton High School in 2006. Kyle loved the outdoors, hunting, snowmobiling, motorcycling, and four-wheeling. He was employed at Upper Lakes Foods in Cloquet/Northfield as a semi truck driver, and was very mechanical.
Kyle was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and Jeanette Grover, and an uncle, James Grover.
He is survived by his parents, Gwen and Phill Larson; brothers, Eric Sims and Kyle Larson; sister, Kaley Larson; fiancé, Amber Dougherty; grandparents, Ray and Lucille Larson, and Clarence and Shirley Sims; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who love him.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, at Nelson Funeral Care, 1004 Cloquet Ave., Cloquet. The visitation will resume Friday, Jan. 15, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service, also at Nelson Funeral Care, followed by a luncheon and time of sharing in the fellowship room. Interment service will be at the Sawyer Cemetery.
