Predatory offender moves from Esko to Sawyer

The Carlton County Sheriff’s Office reported today that a Level 3 predatory offender has moved from Esko/Thompson Township to Sawyer. A community notification meeting will be held Dec. 16.

The Carlton County Sheriff’s Office reported today that a Level 3 predatory offender has moved from Esko/Thompson Township to Sawyer.

Christopher Steven Ash, 36, has moved to Central Hall Road in Sawyer Township.

Ash has a criminal history that includes sexual contact involving with penetration with an adult female victim, using threats and physical force to gain compliance. The female did not know Ash at the time of the incident.

Ash is white, 5 feet 9 inches tall with blue eyes and weighs 232 pounds.

A community notification meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, at the Carlton County Transportation Building at 1630 County Road 61 in Carlton. Carlton County Law Enforcement and Probation representatives will be available to provide information on this offender and answer questions.
