Duluth resident wins Pine Journal Big Buck Contest

Duluth resident Troy Stoddard is this year's winner of the Pine Journal Big Buck Contest. He shot a 20-point buck with a 15-1/2 inch spread to win.

Duluth resident Troy Stoddard is this year's winner of the Pine Journal Big Buck Contest. He shot a 20-point buck with a 15-1/2 inch spread to win a certificate for a free mount at McMillen's Taxidermy.

The Pine Journal has been featuring all entries online and in the newspaper. Check this week's print edition (on news stands Tuesday) Additional prizes will also be awarded to those placing fourth, seventh and 11th - Tony Johnson, Donald Follett and Dale Nikko, respectively.

CONTEST RULES

1. Each contestant was a licensed Minnesota rifle deer hunter.

2. All deer were registered at the Pine Journal office at 122 Avenue C, Cloquet.

3. Bucks were scored at the Pine Journal office throughout the rifle deer hunting season.
