Richard Joseph Wallace Jr., 19, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, while on his way back home from Fort Stewart, Ga. He was born March 7, 1990, in Maplewood, Minn., to Richard and Sheryl Wallace.
Richard Joseph Wallace Jr., 19, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, while on his way back home from Fort Stewart, Ga. He was born March 7, 1990, in Maplewood, Minn., to Richard and Sheryl Wallace. Richard grew up mainly in the Cloquet area with his dad. Richard had been employed at a few local businesses before enlisting in the United States Army where he completed 1 ½ years. Richard had various hobbies and interests. Music, snowmobiling, hunting, going to the beach and severe weather were among his favorites. Richard believed in Jesus as his Lord and Savior and is now with Him in the Kingdom of Heaven. Richard had a great love for his family and was loved very much by them and will be deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Karen Hoffman; and special cousins, Ian and Shannon Bilich.
Richard is survived by his father, Richard Wallace Sr., and stepmom, Kimberly Wallace; stepsister, Kayla Fuller; beloved little brother, Jonah Wallace; grandparents, Leonard and Joyce Wallace; mother, Sheryl Wallace; sisters and brothers, Sandra (Joshua) Schubitzke, Michael Scouton, Penny (Kevin) Jackson, Ashley Scouton and Sean Spence; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Private family services were held at Nelson Funeral Care and burial was at the Wallace Family Cemetery.
