SHARE taking orders for Christmas dinner packages
On Saturday, Nov. 21, SHARE Food Buying Club volunteers in nearly 200 locations will distribute roughly 14,000 Thanksgiving dinner packages. Each package costs just $25, and it serves a family of six with all the delicious fixings for a complete holiday meal.
SHARE’s ordering deadline for Thanksgiving has already passed, but there is still plenty of time for families to order Christmas dinner packages. Everyone is welcome to purchase food through SHARE—there are absolutely no eligibility requirements, membership fees or income limits.
The Christmas dinner package includes a 6-lb. boneless honey ham, canned pineapple, a gelatin ring mold, fixings for chocolate cake with dark sweet cherries, and a fresh produce assortment with potatoes, broccoli, carrots, apples, oranges and more (actual produce selection may vary). The package costs $25 each, plus small shipping and handling fees in some areas. Because SHARE knows the need this year is great, these packages are being offered at last year’s price.
Orders for the Christmas Dinner Package can be placed through Tuesday, Dec. 1. Pick-up will take place on Saturday, Dec. 19 at most SHARE locations.
Order online at www.sharewi.org or call toll-free 800-548-2124 for more information. SHARE’s online ordering system accepts debit and credit cards only, but SHARE also accepts cash, check, money order and Quest/Link/Bridge (food stamp) cards.
