All-Terrain Vehicle Association of Minnesota parade organizers have received verification from Guinness World Record that they have officially broken the world record for the largest ATV parade, held June 13 in Silver Bay.

Officially, the association broke the Guinness World Record for the “World’s Longest ATV Parade” with 1,632 ATVs lining up in Silver Bay. The record had been held by organizers from the Harlan County Ridge Runners in Everts, Ky., with 1,138 ATVs in a parade. This was ATVAM’s second attempt at the record-breaking feat, narrowly missing in 2008.

Silver Bay parade organizer Les Schermerhorn said: “We are thrilled to have the record certified and that so many ATV enthusiasts and their families could join us to break the record. Thank you to everyone who joined us and to everyone in the city of Silver Bay for their wonderful hospitality.”
