The Cloquet-Esko-Carlton girls swimming team lost its first meet of the season last week against Two Harbors.

“This was a very exciting meet with a lot of very close races,” said Head Coach Tara Kasell. “Last year, we tied our meet with Cloquet, so the girls wanted to win very badly.”

Two Harbors took eight first place finishes in the event, including with the team of Jennie Dwyer, Emily Riemer, Heather Fynboh and Rachel Spies winning the 200 medley relay, along with Andi Dahlgren, Rebecca Ronning, Spies and Dwyer winning the 400 free relay.
