Elizabeth Plante of Cloquet, Minn., and Dustin Moreland of Barnum, Minn., were united in marriage Saturday, May 30, 2009, in St. James Catholic Church in Duluth, Minn. The Rev. James Bisonette officiated the ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Keith and Marianne Plante of Cloquet, and Gary and Marsha Moreland of Barnum.
The new bride graduated from Cloquet High School in 2001 and earned a degree in kinesiology from Concordia University in St. Paul, Minn. She also earned a degree in surgical technology from Lake Superior College in Duluth and is employed at St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth as a surgical technician.
The new groom graduated from Barnum High School in 2002 and earned a degree in computer information systems from the University of Wisconsin Superior. He is employed in the billing office of St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth.
The bride chose her sister, Sarah Buhs of Cloquet, to be her matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kristin Linell of St. Paul, friend of the bride; Laura Dake of Wrenshall, Minn., friend of the bride; Kara Plante of Esko, Minn., sister-in-law of the bride; Aubree Johansson of St. Paul, friend of the bride; Beth Schatz of Barnum, sister of the groom; and Heidi Carlson of Barnum, cousin of the bride.
The groom chose the bride’s brother, Glenn Plante of Esko, as his best man. Groomsmen were Peter Jurek of Mahtowa, Minn., friend of the groom; Nate Crotteau of Barnum, cousin of the groom; Louie Kneisel of Cloquet, friend of the groom; Jesse Buhs of Cloquet, brother-in-law of the bride; Isaac Schatz of Mahtowa, brother-in-law of the groom; and Clinton Hurt of Barnum, friend of the groom.
Following a honeymoon trip to the Black Hills of South Dakota, the couple now resides in Cloquet.
