Cloquet Dairy Queen to promote Dairy Queen Miracle Treat Day
On Thursday, Aug. 13, the Cloquet Dairy Queen® will host the fourth annual North American Miracle Treat Day. The day-long event benefits Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare through Children’s Miracle Network. To show his support, Governor Tim Pawlenty has officially declared Aug. 13 Miracle Treat Day in Minnesota.
On Miracle Treat Day, participating Dairy Queen and DQ Grill & Chill® locations throughout North America serve up a variety of tasty Blizzard treats, including the August Blizzard of the Month, Girl Scouts® Thin Mint Cookie. Stores donate $1 or more per Blizzard treat sold to Children’s Miracle Network, a nonprofit organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for children’s hospitals. All funds raised in Minnesota and western Wisconsin benefit Gillette. Last year, Gillette provided care for more than 21,000 children, including 62 from Carlton County.
Last year on Miracle Treat Day, participating Dairy Queens throughout Minnesota and western Wisconsin raised more than $200,000 for Gillette, with proceeds staying in local communities.
