Dragicevich, Kwapick participate in state meet for Rebels
Leading the pack of track athletes for the Moose Lake-Willow River team this year was hurdler Natasha Dragicevich. The junior earned All-State recognition by taking home sixth in the 300-meter hurdles and seventh place in the 100-meter hurdles. Look for Dragicevich to lead the team again next season.
Moose Lake-Willow River loses four girls to graduation in Emily Moody, Kayla Van Zee, Maggie Ackerson and Megan Ergan.
ML-WR’s Nick Kwapick also represented the Rebels well at state, as the senior just missed the podium with his 10th place finish in the 300-meter hurdles.
Moose Lake-Willow River boys graduated six seniors including Brendon Butkiewicz, Chris Gunderson, Dave Cisar, Jacob Olson, Nick Kwapick and Robin Ryce. Although it is likely they will have few seniors next season, their roster is chock-full of younger talent who may surprise in the next few years.
