Polish up those dancing shoes: Polkafest will be back this summer at a new venue.
Although long a staple of the summer calendar at Chisholm's Ironworld, the event will move to the Lost Isle Ballroom and Big Top in Carlton this year.
The 31st annual International Polkafest will feature 20 bands, including the ever-present polkameister and promoter Florian Chmielewski with his Fun Time Band. The three-day event will run from Friday, June 19, through Sunday, June 21.
If you're planning to attend and need a place to stay, you'd better get on the ball, however. Polkafest will overlap with Grandma's Marathon, an event that typically puts hotel rooms in short supply.
