The following are some of the court cases heard in Carlton County Court April 27 to May 1, 2009:

Kristopher Jon Halverson, 26, of Somerset, Wis. – petty misdemeanor driver fails to stop for stop sign: fined $180; – misdemeanor uninsured vehicle: 30 days local confinement stayed 30 days for 1 year, fined $380, no driver license violations, no driving without insurance, no registration violation, pay restitution, pay costs.

Paul Dennis Mills, 53, of Moose Lake – misdemeanor issue dishonored checks: fined $380 stayed $250 for 1 year, pay restitution.

Jennie Elizabeth Anderson, 28, of Duluth – misdemeanor driving after suspension: fined $177.

Jake Allen Blackwood, 20, of Cloquet – misdemeanor issue dishonored check: adjudication withheld: $109.60 restitution, no theft, 20 hours community work service for indeterminate.

James Edward Malmborg, 25, of Virginia, Minn. – misdemeanor driving after revocation: fined $280.

Joseph Conrad Johnson, 57, of Cloquet – misdemeanor driving after suspension: payable without appearance.

Tara Marie Chapman, 24, of St. Paul, Minn. – misdemeanor uninsured vehicle: 30 days local confinement stayed 30 days for 1 year, fined $380, no driver license violations, no driving without insurance, no registration violation, restitution reserved.

Daira Jean Hendrickson, 23, of Hinckley, Minn. – misdemeanor driver must carry proof of insurance when operating vehicle: adjudication withheld, fined $200, no driver license violations, no driving without insurance, no registration violation.

Amanda Josephine Koski, 24, of Duluth – misdemeanor driving after revocation: 30 days local confinement stayed 30 days for 1 year, fined $380, no driver license violations, no driving without insurance, no registration violation.

Joshua Theodore Gustafson, 23, of Cloquet – misdemeanor taking northern pike during closed season: fined $130.

Timothy Raymond Olesiak, 56, of Cloquet – misdemeanor failure to control a permit fire: fined $180.

Mark Wyatt Erb, 19, of Marshall, Minn. – petty misdemeanor possess/small amount of marijuana-no renumeration: fined $130.
