The McGregor School District sent its students home this morning after a threatening note was found.
“It was a note that threatened the safety of some students,” Superintendent Paul Grams said. “The students went home safely after we went into a lockdown — a standard procedure.”
The students left the school around 9:20 a.m. The district has about 381 students in grades K–12. School is scheduled to be in session again Thursday, Grams said.
The Aitkin County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the note, Grams said.
