Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College announces incoming student-athletes for 2009-2010

The Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College Thunder Athletics programs

have released the roster of incoming student-athletes who plan to play for

one of the Thunder teams starting with the 2009-2010 seasons. The roster

includes numerous local and Minnesota student-athletes, as well as

several out-of-state recruits.

Thunder Football heads up the list with 53 new recruits who will be

joining the returning players. Head coach Tony DeLeon expects several

more late-deciders and transfers will come forward to join the

third-year program before the season begins in August.

"This is our largest group of recruits and returning players since we

started the football program in 2007," said DeLeon. "We are very happy

that we have more students from area schools than in previous years.

There is plenty of local talent to be able to field a competitive team

each year. It's nice to see that Thunder football, and Thunder athletics

in general, are being accepted by these local student-athletes as great

opportunities to play college athletics."

The Thunder Volleyball program will debut this fall under the direction

of Mike Patenaude. Jen McKay will continue leading the

women's basketball program, as will David Wilson with the men's

basketball team. Head coach Kerry Rodd will return for another season

with the softball program.

Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College competes at the NJCAA Division

III level and is a member of the Minnesota College Athletic Conference.

Student-athletes interested in joining the Thunder athletics programs

are encouraged to contact any of the head coaches for more information.

The following list of student-athletes represents the new recruits who

have indicated they will play for the Thunder beginning with the

2009-2010 seasons. The list is subject to change, it is current as of

April 29, 2009.
