Volunteers Needed for Jay Cooke State Park clean-up May 2
Grand Rapids, MN – Lake Country Power is calling on co-op members and community organizations to volunteer for its annual Project GreenTouch. The state park clean-up day will be held at Jay Cooke State Park in Carlton on Saturday, May 2 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
GreenTouch is a volunteer event at Minnesota’s state parks to help clear hiking trails, rake leaves and pine needles, and pick up litter.
With more than 8.1 million visitors using Minnesota’s state parks each year, GreenTouch is a timely event held in May to prepare the parks for the summer season. If you would like to participate in GreenTouch, please contact Tami Zaun at Lake Country Power by dialing 1-800-421-9959, extension 7152.
