Two arrested in Cloquet for assault with a handgun

A 19-year-old man and 22-year-old woman were arrested Monday after allegedly threatening and assaulting three others in a house on the 1800 block of Doddridge Avenue, according to Cloquet Police.

Victims at the residence called 911 after the two allegedly threatened them and demanded money, according to Cloquet Detective Darrin Berg. The 19-year-old reportedly used a handgun while making threats and then used it to strike one of the victims. The 22-year-old woman reportedly became involved in a physical altercation with one of the victims. She was arrested shortly afterward, while the 19-year-old was arrested around 7 p.m. at a townhouse on the 1700 block of Sahlman Avenue in Cloquet. Fond du Lac Police and Carlton County sheriff's officers responded to the scene on Sahlman Avenue before the man was arrested.
