CEC swimming ties with Two Harbors

The Cloquet-Esko-Carlton girls swim team held a dual meet with Two Harbors at Herb Drew Pool in Cloquet last Thursday. Although the teams deadlocked at 47-47, the Jacks did have some fine performances against the Agates.
Sophomore Aimee Goldschmidt, senior Kayla Cresap, senior Liz Litke and freshman Whitney Wysocki all won individual events and all participated in the 200 freestyle relay, which they won as well. Cresap, Goldschmidt and Litke also joined forces with freshman Kayla Whipple to win the 200 medley relay event.
Goldschmidt won the 200 free, Litke won the 100 butterfly, Cresap took first in the 100 free and Wysocki won the 500 freestyle.
Second-place finishes went to Wysocki in the 200 free, Whipple in the 50 free and in the 100 freestyle, Cresap in the 100 backstroke and sophomore Brittney Kemi in the 100 breaststroke.
CEC’s top swimmer, senior Grace Moores, did not swim in the meet due to illness.
