Moose Lake State Park spur trail temporarily closed

The two-mile Moose Lake State Park spur biking and hiking trail that

connects the park to the Willard Munger Trail is closed until Nov. 6,

2008. The temporary closure is due to construction associated with a

Minnesota Department of Corrections expansion project. The construction

is occurring adjacent to the trail.

During construction, trail users should use the alternate route along

the Highway 73 road shoulder that links the Willard Munger Trail and the

city of Moose Lake.

After construction, the Moose Lake State Park will re-align the trail

to provide a new trail opportunity for all trail users.
