St. Paul resident in stable condition after dirt bike accident on FDL Reservation

St. Paul resident Lana Merkley was injured May 31 while riding in a dirt bike motocross race in Stoney Brook Township on the Fond du Lac Reservation.

St. Paul resident Lana Merkley was injured May 31 while riding in a dirt bike motocross race in Stoney Brook Township on the Fond du Lac Reservation.

Merkley was transported by helicopter to St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth and was in stable condition as of Saturday.

The race occurred on a private track off Lavoy Road and was sanctioned by the American Motorcyclist Association, according to event organizers.
