All eyes turn toward Moose Lake this weekend as the city hosts events in two big venues on Saturday, Aug. 4.
Crazy Corn Days and Depotfest are slated for Moose Lake that day, and if you’re lucky, you’ll make both!
Toddlers to old timers will enjoy the big Corn Feed and sidewalk sales in downtown Moose Lake, starting off with coffee and rolls served at 8:30 a.m.
Slather on the butter, hold tight to the salt shaker – and enjoy one of summer’s sweetest treats at the sweet corn concession as Crazy Corn Days gets into full swing. There’ll be free corn for all comers from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. – or until all the corn is gone! There’s no charge, but a donation can will be set out and any proceeds will go to the Moose Lake Elementary School for kids in need.
The Tenth Annual Depotfest 2007 is slated to run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Moose Lake Depot and Fires of 1918 Museum, 900 Folz Boulevard. Wander through the flea market, sample the offerings of the food vendors between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., try your luck at bidding on your favorite items in the silent auction and do a little shopping at the craft and vendor booths. Proceeds from the flea market, silent auction and food sales will go to the Historical Society General Fund.
And then, settle back and enjoy the music of Pinewood Landing at the Depot from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
