Age to Age offers summer book event
Prepare to be taken to the Red Planet this summer and join your fellow Martians for prizes, food and fun!
Age to Age participants are reading “The Martian” by Andy Weir over the summer, with everyone reading the book at their own pace. The book follows Astronaut Mark Watney, who is left behind on Mars and must stay alive using his survival skills, instincts and humor. You are invited from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, at The Avenue Coffee Shop (located in the old Chief Theater) for a lively discussion about the book with other readers of different ages across the community. Share your perspective and listen to others while having fun.
Readers ages 15-100 are welcome. The first 20 high school students to register will also receive a free copy of the book. The Cloquet Library has copies to loan, both electronic and paperback.
If you have any comments or would like to connect with other readers before the event, check out ages-themartian.blogspot.com. This blog will be updated regularly and will feature discussion questions and news!
This event is free. You may register online at the Cloquet Community Education by calling 218-879-1261 or going online to www.isd94.org.
