Wright-Cromwell News

By Jennie K. Hanson

Get well wishes go out to Geri Pfisthner (at St. Mary’s in Duluth) and Ramona Harp who are recovering from recent accidents.

You are invited to attend Wednesday Lenten Services at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wright. Services will be at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday from March 5 to April 9, with a light supper following.

The Methodist and Lutheran churches will hold Lenten Services together starting March 5 at Bethany in Cromwell with Ash Wednesday services at 7 p.m. (no soup supper!). Then services will continue with Soup Suppers on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. and services at 7 p.m.

With Pastor Brandi Hacker leaving our area, the Bethany/Bethlehem Lutheran churches will be led by lay leaders or hired pulpit supply until an interim pastor can be found. So, on March 2 I will lead worship in Wright and Mike Martin in Cromwell. New folks are always welcome to attend or come in from the cold. I love the message at Cromwell that states: “Too cold to change the sign: Message available inside!” Confirmation classes will continue as scheduled with volunteer helpers.

There will be an “Open House” 80th birthday party for Leo Dahlberg at Cardinal Court in Cromwell on Saturday, March 1, from 1-3 p.m. All family and friends are invited to attend. If you are unable to attend and would like to send him a card, the address is Leo Dahlberg, c/o Villa Vista, 1220 Villa Court Dr., Cromwell, MN 55726. Let’s all make his day by attending or sending birthday greetings.
