Dianne Knoben and members of the Food Shelf would like to thank all who donated fresh produce to the Tri-Community Food Shelf this past growing season. It was very much appreciated! Monetary donations are appreciated at any time of the year not just during the holiday season.
There will be a Blood Drive from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Dec. 5 at the school. Please call Lori Wester at the school to sign up to give blood.
The Bethlehem Breakfast Brunch, Bake Sale and Bazaar will be held on Dec.14 at Bethlehem Lutheran in Wright from 10 a.m. to noon. If you have items to donate, please feel free to bring them to the church on Friday, Dec. 13. They would like to have new, or gently used homemade-type things, Christmas decorations, gift items, knickknacks, etc., along with bake goods, etc. (no rummage sale items). There will also be some Silent Auction items.
The next meeting of the Carlton County TRIAD will be Wednesday, Dec. 4, at 10 a.m. at the Fond du Lac Tribal Center, 1720 Big Lake Road, Cloquet. The meeting room is around the back of the building across from the library area. Dave Hall from Carlton County Public Health and Human Services Adult Protection will speak about vulnerable adults, neglect, abuse, maltreatment, how to report, what signs to look for, etc. There will also be a representative from Victim Advocacy to discuss what services they can provide. And, don't forget a delicious lunch will be provided courtesy of our hosts, the Fond du Lac Elder Concerns group! All Carlton County senior citizens are really encouraged to attend.
The Women of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Wright will hold their Christmas Party at the church on Wednesday, Dec. 4, at 6 p.m. This is a "potluck" supper with music, small table favor exchange, program and devotions. All area women are welcome to attend.
Villa Vista-Cardinal Court will hold their annual Christmas Family Night on Dec. 8 at 6 p.m. All area folks are welcome to attend, and don't forget, Santa will be there to visit with the kids young and old.
The Annual Christmas Cantata will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church in Cromwell on Saturday, Dec.14, at 5 p.m. A "Remembering the Good Old Days" dinner will follow immediately after the program. Cost is $12 and children under 6 are free. Everyone is welcome. Contact Bette Deming for tickets at 218-644-0987.
The Elementary Christmas Program will be held on Dec.10 and the High School program will be on Dec. 17, both at 7 p.m.
