Richard 'Dick' Duane Godbout
Richard "Dick" Duane Godbout, 79, of Cromwell, Minn., passed away at home on May 4, 2014. Dick was born on Sept. 6, 1934, in Carlton, Minn., to Emil and Alma (Lavigne) Godbout. He was a 1952 graduate of Carlton High School. Dick served in the U.S. Army and worked at Conwed in Cloquet. He was united in marriage to Beverly Tellinghuisen on Sept. 26, 1959. Dick and Bev moved to their farm in Cromwell in 1971 where they raised beef cattle. He enjoyed planting and harvesting cabbage and working his farm.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ernest and Daniel Godbout; and sisters, Anna Mae Godbout and Rose Parks.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly; son, Rick; daughters, Pam (Al) Moline, Barb Schaufler and Leann (Stacy) Steffan; sister, Joyce Wallace; grandchildren, Greg, Hannah, Analee, Kaitlyn and Carter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give special thanks to Stephanie M. of St. Luke's Hospice Staff for her care and support.
Visitation: Saturday, May 10, from 10 a.m. until Celebration of Life Service at noon at Nelson Funeral Care, Cloquet, with military honors presented by the Cloquet Combined Honor Guard, followed by a luncheon in the fellowship room.
